Here\u2019s yet another source for rare, hand-held video of the old days as shot by those who were there. Courtesy of the Lost Tracks series at thechicaneblog.com, you can enjoy more clips of road racing action from the sport\u2019s earlier days on the historic circuits of Torrey Pines, Pomona, Riverside, Vaca Valley, and Paramount Ranch. You can also take a good look at the first year of the Can-Am series and the cars contesting the 1966 Stardust Grand Prix in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

There are innumerable sights to be seen here, not least of which is the great array of racing cars testing the limits of their capabilities and their drivers\u2019 skills. In the Torrey Pines clip, for example, watch Ferraris, Jags, MGs, Porsche 356s, Gullwing Mercedes, and OSCAs, among others, while seeing the track\u2019s Packard ambulance is almost worth the price of admission by itself. The films also look at those looking on, giving most of us a nice reminder of the way we were.
