Its motor racing exploits were followed by the entire Italian nation as cars like the 1750 Super Sport, 8C 2300 Monza, P2 and then the P3 drove it to the top echelons of the sport and kept it there. The aging P3, however, was feeling the pressure from the German Silver Arrows as it neared the end of its career. It wasn\u2019t quite finished yet, though&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>As 1935 wore on, the P3 was wilting more than a little as the great Mercedes-Benz-Auto Union onslaught carved its way to victory wherever it went.
