The 2010 Tour Britannia had a small but very competitive entry in both the regularity and competition sections, the former having 17 finishers and the latter 21. Overall winners on the Index of Performance were Michael Bell and James Patterson in a very effective Gilbern GT 1800. The competition section was won by the 3-liter Porsche 911 of Sean Lockyear and Ian Reed, which proved very quick in the races and on special stages.<\/p>\n

Regularity was won by the Porsche 911 of Howard Warren and Guy Woodcock, while John Ruston and Jeremy Haycock were 3rd in regularity and won their class in a superb Talbot 105 Alpine.<\/p>\n

Eight Porsches dominated the competition section against three Jaguars and eight other makes, including a very early Riley. The 2010 Tour started in Cheshire and was centred in North Wales. From the start it moved to the famous Aintree race circuit, then to special stages at Trawsfynyyd, Vaynol Hall, Great Orme, Eaton Hall and Cholmondeley before returning to Aintree. There were races at Oulton Park, Angelesey and Mallory Park as well as stages at 16 striking rally venues. The variety was enjoyed by entrants and spectators alike.<\/p>\n
