Like most racing drivers, I\u2019ve driven many cars in my career, choosing just one as a greatest racecar is an almost impossible task. However, looking back to the late 1980s and early 1990s the Nissan Skyline GTR was a great car and dominated until they changed the regulations. In 1993, the regulations completely excluded turbo-charged cars, which meant my Nissan Skyline and the Ford Sierra turbo were no longer eligible to race. Had the regulations stayed as they were there is no question that the Nissan would have been completely dominant again. It was a great disappointment for us, but I suppose good for others\u2014that\u2019s the name of the game in racing.<\/p>\n

I had had great success with the car, winning the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1990 and 1991. The 1991 championship was slightly different as I won it in the 4WD Skyline GTR, affectionately known as \u201cGodzilla.\u201d In 1992, I was runner-up to my teammate Mark Skaife. We won the Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama in 1991 and 1992, too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
