{"id":491737,"date":"2011-03-02T07:00:36","date_gmt":"2011-03-02T12:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/?p=33840"},"modified":"2023-12-11T03:59:37","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T03:59:37","slug":"mille-miglia-north-america-tribute-2011-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/mille-miglia-north-america-tribute-2011-information\/","title":{"rendered":"1000 Miglia (2011) &#8211; North America Tribute Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The inaugural Mille Miglia North American Tribute will be held in advance of the Pebble Beach Concours d&#8217;Elegance and Historic Automotive weekend, running August 14th through August 17th, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The 1,000 mile experience will be produced in the spirit of the of the original Mille Miglia in Italy, on a California coast route running through the landscapes of Carmel, Santa Barbara, and Napa Valley, concluding in Monterey.<\/p>\n<p>Event organizer Stratus Media Group, Inc., has been sub-licensed to produce the Mille Miglia North America Tribute by the MAC Group, MEET Communications and San Remo Rally &#8211; licensees of the Automobile Club of Brescia &#8211; the operator of the Original Mille Miglia in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are honored to have been exclusively selected to produce, manage and market this unique sporting adventure, celebrating the greatest vintage cars ever built,&#8221; stated Paul Feller, CEO and Chairman of Stratus Media Group, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bringing this historic 82 year old event to North America provides an extraordinary world-wide promotional and marketing platform that integrates with our luxury auto shows. Just as drivers discover Italy through the Italian Mille Miglia, they will explore North America&#8217;s California coastline and wine country like never before in this Mille Miglia North American Tribute. Sponsorship negotiations with U.S. and present Italian Mille Miglia sponsors have begun. In conjunction with the Tribute, SMDI will produce a nationally televised Mille Miglia series,&#8221; continued Feller.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian Mille Miglia event is an open road endurance race, currently one of the most important classic sports cars events in the world. From 1927 to 1957, this was a legendary speed race focused on drivers, challenges and adventures.<\/p>\n<p>Entry fees for the Mille Miglia North America Tribute begin at $8,000 per vehicle.
