Felice Nazzaro had brains as well as a heavy right foot and he used them well to work his way up from the shop floor to motor racing stardom in a career that spanned three decades. His favorite technique was to hang back and let the leaders burn themselves or their cars out and then pounce.<\/p>\n

Nazzaro won three of the eight 1907 Grands Prix driving a Fiat, but in 1908 he and this new Fiat could only manage one win, at Bologna\u2019s Coppa Florio.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

That\u2019s how he won the 1907 world motor racing grand slam, the Targa Florio, Germany\u2019s Kaiserpreis and the French Grand Prix, all run under different regulations. Fifteen years, a world war and a great deal of technological progress later he won the GP of France again, an incredible achievement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
