The Historic Grand Prix Association has been selected to support the return of Formula One Grand Prix racing to the United States at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on November 16-18. HGP fields a collection of F1 cars from the sport\u2019s first three-liter era between 1966 and 1983, so that fans can see these classic racing cars up close and immerse themselves in the history of Formula One racing.<\/p>\n
Included among the usual HGP field are cars that have won Grands Prix and World Championships, many of which will be on the grid in Austin this November. A number of the cars enjoy the attention of their original mechanics who continue to prepare and maintain them, while the drivers also take pride in honoring the original pilots of these iconic cars.<\/p>\n
