These judges, aged from 8 to 14 years old, were charged with voting for their favorite classic car on the car club stands. Among the cars nominated by their respective car clubs were a Reliant Sabre, Jaguar E-Type, TVR V8, Caterham Superlight and an Austin Healey 3000 Mk III, as well as a Moskvitch 427.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ROADn3-201211-p2-329x247-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-529367 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ROADn3-201211-p2-329x247-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"329\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ROADn3-201211-p2-329x247-1.jpg 329w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ROADn3-201211-p2-329x247-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ROADn3-201211-p2-329x247-1-100x75.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ROADn3-201211-p2-329x247-1-293x220.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 329px) 100vw, 329px\" \/><\/a>However, the budding enthusiasts voted unanimously for Graham Durber\u2019s recently restored 1960 Mercedes Benz 190 SL.\u00a0 Local Junior Judge Josh said, \u201cThis car was the one we all agreed we wanted our Dad to have in the garage at home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The victorious owner, who received his award from the Judges, added: \u201cThis is a brilliant program. It is essential that we all try and give the kids a better understanding of classic cars so that they can become the next generation of enthusiasts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Organized by Hagerty International, this progressive program connects young car enthusiasts with a variety of classic cars and vintage motorcycles, to help connect kids with historic cars and bikes. \u201cWe appreciate that we need to do all we can to encourage children to see, feel and learn a little about classic cars,\u201d stated Hagerty MD, Angus Forsyth. \u201cOur Junior Judges program gives them the opportunity to get up close with these fabulous vehicles and we hope this ignites their interest in older cars.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A special panel of \u201cJunior Judges\u201d organized by Hagerty Insurance made their way to the UK\u2019s Cholmondley Castle on Sept 8-9, to select their favorites at Chris Evans\u2019s popular CarFest.
