It was the 14th lap of the 1971 Victory Race at Brands Hatch. The reference for this painting is a 35mm slide I took as a spectator at the race. I was watching\u00a0at Westfield\u00a0on that lap,\u00a0my next picture from the sequence on\u00a0that day was the burnt out wreck of the BRM\u00a0at Hawthorns.
