The Coys ‘True Greats’ auction was held December 4th, 2012 at the Royal Horticultural Society Lindley Hall in Westminster, London, resulting in total sales of nearly \u00a34 million.<\/p>\n

Top result at the final Coys sale in 2012 went to a newly restored and matching numbers 1938 BMW 328 that achieved a selling price of \u00a3494,600, followed by the 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster that brought \u00a3433,000 and the 1967 Lamborghini Miura, converted by the factory in period to SV specs, that made \u00a3421,800.<\/p>\n

Other notable sales at the 2012 Coys True Greats London auction included the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage at \u00a3382,600, the bespoke Aristotle Onassis \/ Stamatis Kokotas 1969 Lamborghini Miura S for \u00a3260,000, the 1949 Bentley Mk VI Countryman Radford Shooting Brake Woody that made \u00a373,480 and the barn discovery original 1933 Fiat 508 S Mille Miglia that sold to an English collector for \u00a362,280.<\/p>\n

The matching number original body 1936 Bentley 4 1\/4-Litre Drophead Coupe by Park Ward made \u00a3100,000, a 1938 Paris Motor Show Bentley 4 1\/4-Litre Fixed-Head Coupe by de Villars sold for \u00a380,200, the 1922 Talbot-Darracq Open Tourer offered by Coys directly from the estate of Bill Boddy went home for \u00a318,880, while a 1934 Riley Imp, reported to be one of the finest Imps offered to the market in recent times, brought \u00a385,240.<\/p>\n
