GTO Engineering<\/h2>\n

Nestled in the Royal County of Berkshire, England, is the Saxon Village of Twyford. Once home to William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, USA, Twyford now houses the workshops of GTO Engineering. Beautifully renovated historic farm buildings are an ideal setting to fettle vehicles bearing the emblem of the prancing horse.<\/p>\n

Founded in the early 1980s by Mark Lyon, a specialist subcontractor who worked for some of the most prestigious Ferrari dealers and specialists, GTO Engineering soon built an outstanding reputation, which spread far and wide as the business blossomed. In the \u201990s, the parts operation was commenced to serve the growing demand for increasingly rare components. By the end of the century, GTO was offered the wonderful opportunity to buy Tony Merrick’s operation in rural Berkshire, where the company remains to this day, servicing, race\/tour preparing, inspecting classic Ferraris and making, sourcing and selling rare Ferrari parts.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Boasting a strong team of skilled engineers with the experience and expertise to restore, repair and prepare every Ferrari model from a 166 Inter to a 365 GTB\/4 Daytona and beyond, GTO\u2019s particular specialty is the 250 GT series for use on road, tours and competition. All of their engineers are dedicated to Ferrari and have extensive experience with the marque.<\/p>\n

Ferrari engine rebuilds remain one of their specialties, and under Mark Lyon\u2019s stewardship, they have a dedicated team working on their engines. They have undertaken many complete Ferrari restorations, and have amassed numerous awards for quality of their workmanship\u2014which speak for themselves. They also offer race, rally and touring preparation and support, with their engineers and transporter being a familiar sight on such wonderful events as the Mille Miglia, Tour Auto and Goodwood Revival.<\/p>\n

For 20 years the GTO Parts department has been accumulating thousands of new, NOS and used Ferrari parts, to service both internal needs and demand from customers all over the world. Their manufacturing operation runs year-round and the team regularly travels internationally to source new supplies. They continually monitor availability in the market, and look to begin remaking parts as soon as they see availability weakening. Not only can they offer complete remade 250 rear axles with a choice of ratios, along with many suspension, electrical and transmission components, but they also have all the parts necessary to build a brand-new complete 250 GT engine. They use their own manufactured parts on their own cars too, so customers can have absolute confidence in their quality.<\/p>\n
