Of the major Western automobile manufacturing nations, England may have been the most staid when it came to streamlining and the Art Deco style.\u00a0 Possibly it was their nature for British designers to be more conservative than the stylists on the Continent or even in the United States. The result was that streamlined design became more of an evolution than a revolution in Britain. Unlike designers in the U.S. and on the Continent, whose vision took in the whole car, British designers generally only added Deco elements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
