The 2013 St. James\u2019s Concours of Elegance was held 5-7 September on the Royal grounds of St James\u2019s in Central London. The entry list of sixty important cars began filled the gardens of the 300 year-old Royal Palace Marlborough House, adjacent to St. James\u2019s Palace, the official residence of the Sovereign.<\/p>\n

The three-day event featured race-winning sports cars, graceful limousines, one-off examples of celebrated coachbuilders\u2019 art, with all the great motoring marques on display.<\/p>\n

On “Owner’s Day”, entrants to the 2013 UK Concours of Elegance drove their cars the short distance to St James\u2019s from the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, along The Mall and into Marlborough Road and the Gardens. Highlights of the St. James’s Tour included the Le Mans-winning Porsche 917K leading the Pebble Beach Best of Show-winning 1937 Horch 853 Voll & Ruhrbeck Sport Cabriolet and the one-off 1954 Ferrari 375MM Scaglietti Berlinetta through the busy streets of London. Another memorable moment at this year’s event was when the entrants, which included a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO\/64, drove past Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n
