The machine on offer, chassis 6107, is the 24th of just 32 examples of the marque\u2019s first production-based, rear-engine racing model. The highlight of the car\u2019s competition career was its class-winning 8th overall finish in the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona in the hands of Ecuadorean privateers Guillermo Ortega and Fausto Merello.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAlongside the iconic 250 GTO, the 250 LM is one of the most coveted and collectible Ferraris of all time,\u201d says Ian Kelleher, Car Specialist, RM Auctions. \u201cWe are honored to have been entrusted with the upcoming sale of 6107.
