VR: How did you first come to cars? I know you both go way back with your involvement in the hobby, but what got you started originally? <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

FP:<\/b> I was born and grew up in Santa Monica, while Charles grew up in South Gate, which was the car capital of America, where the guys were taking old parts from cars and making hot rods. So we grew up on that. In the late \u201930s, early \u201940s our big brothers were building the cars and we were hanging out watching it all. Sometimes they\u2019d put us in the rumble seat or in the back\u2014or sometimes in the trunk!\u2014and we\u2019d drive out to the bean fields. So, hanging out with the big brothers who were building cars, that was it. We came to cars just naturally, sharing the enthusiasm of our brothers and older kids at that time. Charles\u2019 experience may be similar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
