On October 10-11, RM Auctions\u2019 annual Hershey sale\u2014held in conjunction with the AACA Eastern Regional Fall Meet\u2014fetched $9,697,600 of total sales, with 90 percent of all lots sold. Top sale honors went to a beautifully restored 1933 Chrysler CL Imperial Convertible Roadster, (right) which is one of only nine built and one of just six known survivors. A multiple-award-winning example from the most sought after and renowned year of production, the rare \u201933 Chrysler was the focus of a fierce bidding war in the room, before selling for $704,000. Continuing this sale\u2019s strong track record for Brass Era motor cars, an exceptional 1910 Pierce-Arrow 48-SS Seven Passenger Touring (inset), offered from single-family ownership since 1950, realized $687,500.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
