At this year\u2019s Concorso d\u2019Eleganza Villa d\u2019Este, May 23\u201325, the 110th anniversary of the Rolls-Royce brand will be celebrated as part of the tradition-swathed classic car weekend held on the shores of Lake Como.<\/p>\n

For 85 years now, the parkland of the Grand Hotel Villa d\u2019Este in Cernobbio, northern Italy, has served as the gathering point for significant automotive masterpieces that vie for the favor of the public and high marks from the expert jury. For the 2014 event, around 50 select vehicles will once again take part in the beauty contest. In parallel with this, the Concorso d\u2019Eleganza Design Award for concept cars and prototypes will also be staged.<\/p>\n

Another firm fixture of the Concorso d\u2019Eleganza Villa d\u2019Este, since 2011, is the Concorso di Motociclette. Escorted by members of the local police force, a convoy of classic two-wheelers makes its way from Como to Cernobbio on the Saturday, stopping briefly at the Historic Car Parade at Villa d\u2019Este before reaching its final destination in the neighboring grounds of Villa Erba.
