We will never know what the quietly brilliant Southern Californian might have accomplished had he escaped fate\u2019s fickle finger at Indianapolis, but anyone who saw him race knows how deep the instinctive talent he possessed went, and understands how extensive his achievements could have been.<\/p>\n

This site is dedicated to the all-too-brief career of the man known as \u201cThe Natural\u201d, and chronicles the successes he did enjoy, from his early days in Corvettes through his tenure with Shelby American driving Cobras, Cobra Coupes and King Cobras, his stock car escapades and on through to his fateful involvement with Indianapolis.<\/p>\n
