\"\"<\/a>For its newest exhibit, The World\u2019s Greatest Sports Coupes, the Petersen Automotive Museum invited 12 celebrities\u2014ranging from rock \u2019n\u2019 roll legends, critically acclaimed film directors, actors and world renowned car collectors\u2014to guest curate one sports coupe each. The exhibit, which is now open, showcases some of the most beautiful sports coupes of all time.<\/p>\n

Some of the selected sports coupes and their celebrity curators include: 1948 Jaguar Custom \u201cBlack Pearl\u201d chosen by Metallica\u2019s James Hetfield; 1954 Plymouth Explorer Concept chosen by film director and producer Francis Ford Coppola; 1961 Aston Martin DB4 Zagato chosen by Jaguar\u2019s Director of Design, Ian Callum; 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO chosen by Pink Floyd\u2019s Nick Mason; 1963 Ferrari Berlinetta Lusso chosen by comedian and TV host Adam Carolla; 1968 Ford GT40 Mark III chosen by Chief Creative Officer of Pixar and Disney, John Lasseter; and a 1974 Iso Grifo chosen by AC\/DC\u2019s Brian Johnson.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\u201cSports coupes are the reason most of us fell in love with the automobile in the first place,\u201d said executive director of the Petersen, Terry Karges. \u201cThese vehicles represent the pinnacle of art, design, engineering and performance and have been built all over the world. Choosing a dozen sports coupes to represent the finest of the breed was no easy task, which is why we invited the world\u2019s most prominent car collectors to guest curate this exhibit. We\u2019re honored to work with all 12 of these individuals, as well as with Jaguar, a company that has well earned its legacy building beautiful vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n
