{"id":494054,"date":"2014-10-01T10:58:33","date_gmt":"2014-10-01T10:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/demo.sportscardigest.com\/?p=6326"},"modified":"2023-12-08T17:32:43","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T17:32:43","slug":"spirit-1920s-30s-stan-hywet-concours-delegance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/spirit-1920s-30s-stan-hywet-concours-delegance\/","title":{"rendered":"Stan Hywet Concours (2014) &#8211; Spirit of the 1920s &#038; \u201930s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stan Hywet Hall &amp; Gardens, one of the nation\u2019s most iconic residences arising from the American Country Estate movement of the late 19th and early 20th\u00ad centuries, announces the Concours d\u2019Elegance at Stan Hywet Hall &amp; Gardens to be held September 19-21, 2014 on the grounds of the 70-acre historic estate, which is located in Akron, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFew settings equal the elegance of Stan Hywet Hall &amp; Gardens,\u201d said David Schultz, concours executive director, who previously served as executive director of the Glenmoor Gathering, the precursor to this new northeast Ohio event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOur 2014 features include Pierce-Arrow, Duesenberg, Packard Darrin, pre-1929 American motorcycles, Cord, classic American woodies and a fun class\u2014\u201cVehicles that Defy Description,\u201d said Schultz. Some of the many interesting displays include: a fully operational replica of the 1770 Cugnot fardier steam carriage, the world\u2019s first self-propelled vehicle; the only surviving prototype of the original Lincoln Continental, built in 1939;
