At the time of this writing, the American automotive media was in the throws of rapture over the long awaited return to these shores of fabled Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo and its exciting new 4C sports car. Now before you fire off your poison pen letters, or send me a Howler (timely Harry Potter reference!), I realize that just a few years ago we got a preview of coming attractions with the Alfa Romeo 8C supercar, but the importation of less than a dozen \u201csupercars\u201d hardly amounts to a full scale return to these shores. After all, Alfa Romeo had been a major Italian presence in this country for over 50 years\u2026until the \u201cdark times.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
