The marque of the Prancing Horse will take center stage at the Pebble Beach Concours d\u2019Elegance this August 16, as the cars from Maranello will once again grace the 18th fairway en masse.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur plans to feature Ferrari have been many years in the making,\u201d said event chair Sandra Button, \u201cbut it seems particularly appropriate to be showcasing this marque now, since a Ferrari earned our top award this past year.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Best of Show at last year\u2019s concours was awarded to Jon Shirley’s 1954 Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe, the first Ferrari to be so honored. Several special Ferrari classes at this year\u2019s event will focus on Preservation Ferraris and Ferraris that were raced in the Pebble Beach Road Races of the 1950s.<\/p>\n

Other features of the 2015 Concours will be: \u2022 The duPont marque, of which only about 30 are known to exist; \u2022 Designs by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring; \u2022 Post-war Cunningham cars, including the Vignale-built C3 sports cars; \u2022 Historic Mercury custom cars from the late 1940s and early 1950s; \u2022 Pope automobiles from the early 20th century; \u2022 Japanese motorcycles; and \u2022 British pre-war sports cars. The event will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Lincoln Continental and the 50th anniversary of the Shelby Mustang GT350\u2014the latter of which is also the featured marque for this year\u2019s Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at nearby Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
