One of just 2,501 examples produced, the Javelin is powered by a 390 cid V8 with a four-barrel carburetor and drives through a quick-shifting four-speed manual transmission.<\/p>\n

Also scheduled to come under the hammer in Newport Beach is a rare Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet, one of just 1,232 examples of the landmark model produced. This fine example is equipped with air conditioning, a period radio unit, beautiful veneered wood and many other amenities\u2014including the original owners manual and tools in a canvas tool roll\u2014to provide a comfortable and luxurious experience. As offered, this 280SE Cabriolet carries guaranteed collectability and enduring value as one of the final limited-production, mostly hand-built Mercedes-Benz automobiles ever produced.<\/p>\n
