The Indianapolis-based United States Auto Club has announced a dozen new inductees to its USAC Hall of Fame. The first eight inductees, chosen by the Hall\u2019s selection committee, is a group that includes five drivers, two car owners and a chief mechanic. Listed alphabetically they are: Clint Brawner, Butch Hartman, Lindsey Hopkins, Jim Hurtubise, Fred Lorenzen, Roger Penske, Shorty Templeman and Sleepy Tripp.<\/p>\n
Four further names were selected by a social media poll among fans that resulted in inductions for drivers Jimmy Caruthers, Sheldon Kinser and Larry Rice, as well as car owner Don Kenyon. They will all be enshrined during ceremonies scheduled for July 25 at the Lincoln Tech Indianapolis Speedrome in conjunction with the inaugural \u201cTony Stewart Classis\u201d midget race.
