At England\u2019s annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, the museum\u2019s 1937 Talbot-Lago T150-C-S, with teardrop style body by famed French coachbuilder Figoni et Flaschi (above), was selected Best of Show at the event\u2019s Cartier Style et Luxe concours, while Mullin\u2019s 1937 Delahaye Type 145 (below) claimed the equivalent honor, the Chairman\u2019s Award, at the Art of the Car Concours in Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_0401-e1436995584620-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-523419 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_0401-e1436995584620-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_0401-e1436995584620-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_0401-e1436995584620-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_0401-e1436995584620-1-100x75.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_0401-e1436995584620-1-293x220.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>The Talbot-Lago was once owned by Bentley Motors chairman Woolf Barnato and acquired by Peter Mullin, who calls it \u201cthe most gorgeous car ever designed,\u201d in 1985. The Delahaye has long been called \u201cthe million-franc Delahaye\u201d after legendary French racer Rene Dreyfuss averaged 91mph for 16 laps of the Autodrome de Montlh\u00e9ry to wrest the record from the Italians and earn the million-franc reward posted by the Automobile Club of France.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the twin wins, Mullin said, \u201cThis has been an incredible weekend for the museum and the collection. To be asked to participate in a celebration of the work of one of history\u2019s finest coachbuilders by Lord March is an incredible honor.
