The Carmel Concours on the Avenue 2015 was held Tuesday, August 11th on the downtown streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.<\/p>\n

A field of more than 200 automobiles were on display at the eighth edition of the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue, vying for 14 major awards and Best of Show. This year\u2019s event presented multi-marques from 1940 to 1973, in addition to Porsche and Ferrari from the beginning through 1989. Similar to previous years, Carmel-By-The-Sea\u2019s Ocean Avenue was closed to traffic and sixteen blocks of downtown were filled with collector cars and related motorized items. As always, an interesting mix of automobiles were displayed in front of Carmel\u2019s charming shops, galleries and restaurants. <\/p>\n

A great selection of Porsche cars were on display at the 2015 Carmel Concours on the Avenue, including the ex-Monte Carlo Rally 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS; 1961 Porsche Type 356B 1600 Carrera GTL Abarth Coupe; FIA Middle East Rally Championship-winning Rothmans 1984 Porsche 911 SCRS; Porsche 550 Spyder and a selection of 356 Speedsters. In addition to the Porsches, further notable and interesting entrants included a Ferrari 400 Superamerica; Cisitalia 303 DF Berlinetta; Ferrari 250 GT\/L ‘Lusso’; Ferrari 275 GTB; OSCA 1500 MT4; Toyota 2000 GT and the raucous Shelby GT350 Mustangs from the Monterey Reunion.<\/p>\n

Best of Show at the Carmel Concours on the Avenue 2015 was awarded to the 1950 Cisitalia 202 MM Cassone.<\/p>\n

Similar to 2009<\/a>, 2011<\/a>, 2012<\/a>, 2013<\/a> and 2014<\/a>, Sports Car Digest also documented the 2015 Carmel Concours d’Elegance with the following gallery from the streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
