Nearly $400 million worth of classic and collector cars were sold during this year\u2019s auctions at Monterey Classic Car Week, with the $179.2 million total sales by RM Sothebys being the single highest dollar sale in history. Over all the auctions, 84 cars sold for more than $1 million, with eight of those topping $10 million. Leading the way was a pair of 1964 Ferrari 250 LM Coupes that each garnered $17,600,000, one sold by Gooding & Co., the other by RM Sothebys, both establishing a new world record for a 250 LM sold at auction.<\/p>\n

Another world record for a particular model was established by the 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione Tour de France Scaglietti that RM (above) sold for $13,200,000. The full list of Million-Dollar Cars, delineated by auction house, follows:<\/p>\n
