HSR, which organizes vintage racecar events in America\u2019s East and Midwest, was founded in 1977 as the Walter Mitty Challenge Group, changing its name to Historic Sportscar Racing during the 1990s. Hinton and long-time HSR member Jim Pace have acquired the interest of the organization\u2019s longtime supporter Pater McLaughlin. Pace will join the HSR management team and assist with HSR\u2019s driver improvement efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeter McLaughlin has been a part of historic racing in the United States for many years,\u201d commented Hinton. \u201cWe all owe him a great deal of thanks for helping to shape the sport into what we enjoy today.
