Locke de Bretteville says he fell in love with racecars at age seven when his 18-year-old brother went off to Yale University and put him in charge of his Road &amp; Track and Motor Sport magazine collection. De Bretteville said, \u201cThose magazines forever changed my life, and it all began with the Vanwalls and Stirling Moss\u2026never did like Hawthorn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By the time he left for college, de Bretteville was a walking motorsports encyclopedia. During college he worked as a \u201cgo-fer\u201d for a number of SCCA racers. He also became acquainted with Sam Posey who was an alumnus of his high school.
