1965 Sunbeam Tiger Roadster sold for $142,500<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Mecum Austin 2015 auction was held December 11-12 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, resulting in $10,876,142 in sales and nearly a 70 percent sell-through rate. Consignments came from 23 states including those as far as Montana, Minnesota and Maryland, with a total of 454 vehicles sold during Mecum’s 2nd annual Austin auction.<\/p>\n

The top result at the two-day Mecum Austin 2015 sale went to a 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition (Lot S100). One of 343 produced and showing 573 miles, the Ford sold for $440,000. Other top sales included another modern-day supercar with an 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Silver Arrow (Lot S144) demanding $245,000. Classics made the list of top sales as well with a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger Roadster (Lot S101) gaveling at $142,500 and two Corvettes, a 1963 Split Window (Lot S112.1) and a 1959 Resto Mod (Lot S136), each hammering for $130,000.<\/p>\n
