Within a schedule of 17 races, the three-day Festival will showcase some 400 world-class competition machines, among them Grand Prix cars, other single-seaters, Le Mans prototypes, GT cars, sportscars and Touring Cars.<\/p>\n<p>The oldest cars on track will be the \u201cMad Jack\u201d prewar sports cars. Named after Richard \u201cMad Jack\u201d Shuttleworth, winner of the very first Donington Grand Prix in 1935, the race will feature huge Bentleys and powerful Bugattis and Frazer Nashes from the 1920s and \u201930s, all sharing the circuit with tiny Morgans, Austin Sevens and Rileys.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival will also be celebrating the 80<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Richard Seaman and Hans Ruesch\u2019s victory in the 1936 Donington Grand Prix, marking that anniversary with the HGPCA Nuvolari Trophy race and a grid of iconic Grand Prix and Voiturette cars up until 1950, such as P3 Alfa Romeos, Bugatti T35s and T37s, ERAs, Talbot-Lagos and 8CM Maseratis.<\/p>\n<p>New for 2016 is a round of the Pre-80 Endurance Series, making its Festival debut with a mix of sports racing, GT and Touring Cars such as Porsche 935s, Lola T282s, Chevron B26s and B19s, Porsche Carreras and Morgan Plus 8s.
