{"id":495232,"date":"2016-02-05T10:30:24","date_gmt":"2016-02-05T15:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/?p=91697"},"modified":"2024-12-06T03:42:32","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T03:42:32","slug":"jerry-seinfeld-collection-offered-gooding-amelia-island-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/jerry-seinfeld-collection-offered-gooding-amelia-island-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Gooding &#038; Company Amelia Island (2016) &#8211; Seinfeld Collection Offered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gooding and Company released the full selection of Jerry Seinfeld Collection Porsches to be offered at their 2016 Amelia Island Auction, scheduled for March 11 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/jerry-seinfeld-collection-at-2016-gooding-amelia\/\">previously announced<\/a> 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS\/GT Carrera Speedster and the ex-Peter Revson 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR, further notable offerings at the 2016 Gooding and Company Amelia Island sale include the 1973 Porsche 917\/30 Can-Am Spyder, 1959 Porsche 718 RSK, 2000 Porsche Carrera GT Prototype and 1990 Porsche 962C.<\/p>\n<p>The 1973 Porsche 917\/30 Can-Am Spyder, chassis 917-30-004, is one of four examples completed at the Porsche factory. 004 was intended to be the 1974 Penske-Sunoco team car but was instead sold to Australian Porsche Importer Alan Hamilton. Later purchased by the Porsche factory, this car was previously the centerpiece of the Drendel Family Collection. This 917\/30 has been raced at the Monterey Historics and has been displayed at the Amelia Island Concours d&#8217;Elegance and Rennsport Reunion, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Seinfeld is recognized throughout the world as having acquired one of the finest Porsche collections ever assembled,\u201d said David Gooding, President and Founder of Gooding &amp; Company. \u201cHe has become known as the definitive Porsche connoisseur based on his passion and devotion to the marque.
