Formula One will return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca as the Masters USA international Formula One field once again takes part in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion<\/a> August 18-21, all part of Monterey\u2019s famed Classic Car Week celebration.<\/p>\n

The Masters Historic Formula One field will be filled with marques from F1\u2019s golden age, with prime examples of Lotus, March, Tyrrell (above, photo by Brad Fox), Hill, Williams, Penske, Ferrari, Shadow and Brabham machinery all expected to take part.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Reunion also celebrates the 100th<\/sup> anniversary of the founding of BMW<\/a> by selecting it as this year\u2019s featured marque. BMW of North America\u2019s historical display is expected to include a wide range of the racecars and street models that have made the German company one of the most highly regarded automakers in the world.<\/p>\n

In addition, both the Can-Am and Trans-Am are marking 50th<\/sup> anniversaries this year, and consequently will get their own weekends in the sun at Laguna this August. A maximum of 550 vintage racecars will populate the 15 race groups, swelling the paddock to capacity with rolling automotive history.
