Northern California\u2019s Classic Sports Racing Group enjoyed a larger than usual entry for its May outing at Thunderhill Park as it celebrated the great North American training categories of Formula Atlantic and Formula B. More than 100 cars\u2014plus 27 spec Miatas\u2014tackled the circuit\u2019s three-mile layout.<\/p>\n

The featured Atlantic race was won handily by Dan Marvin in the Norman Racing Group\u2019s ex-Gilles Villeneuve March 76B (above), followed under the flag by Collin Jackson in the ex-Allan Lader FB Brabham BT40 in 2nd<\/sup> with David Rugh taking 3rd<\/sup> in a Ralt RT5. The trophy for Best Atlantic Presentation was awarded to Dave Alvarado for the superb restoration of his ex-Bobby Rahal Swing Orange March 76B.<\/p>\n
