More than 350 Aston Martins cruised across the New Forest to Beaulieu on Sunday April 10 for the inaugural Simply Aston Martin Rally. Getting the brand-new event off to an excellent start, Aston Martin owners parked on the grounds of the National Motor Museum, and visitors were treated to the spectacular sights and sounds of these high-powered cars, while owners had the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, talk about their Aston Martins and enjoy a day out in the picturesque setting.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith strong advance ticket sales, we were expecting up to 300 cars for the rally,\u201d noted event coordinator Andy Ollerenshaw, \u201cbut we were absolutely delighted by just how many owners joined us for the first Simply Aston Martin event. The response from Aston Martin owners and feedback from visitors was incredible, and we anticipate that this successful event will return again next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Every era of the British marque\u2019s history was represented in the varied display. Pre-war examples, classics from the 1970s, \u201880s and \u201890s were all well represented, and the full range of Aston Martin\u2019s modern creations were also on display.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, owners and visitors voted for their favorite car of the show in the People\u2019s Choice Award, with Tim Davis\u2019 1930 Aston Martin International Series One taking the top prize. Tim was presented with a commemorative Beaulieu trophy by Lord Montagu, before leading a cavalcade of the most popular cars around the grounds.<\/p>\n

Simply Aston Martin is part of the range of Simply rallies at Beaulieu, covering a wide variety of motoring marques and themes, including Simply Jaguar, Simply Porsche and Simply Classics & Sports Car.
