Cars in the Claydons, the UK’s major new motoring and motorsport festival, will take place for the first time this September 3 at the Claydon Estate in Buckinghamshire.<\/p>\n
Event organizers aspire to grow Cars in the Claydons into a full moving event by year three, but for this maiden running the event will be a static show for cars \u2014 although a motorcycle trial will offer a small competitive element for visitors.<\/p>\n
Claydon Estate, family home of the Verney family since 1620, will house up to 60 cars and 40 motorcycles within \u201cpaddock\u201d areas within the private gardens, with a Le Mans-winning Audi R18 e-tron quattro from 2012 set to headline the many feature displays. An endurance paddock will also have Jaguar D-Type and Aston Martin models on display, plus a variety of other cars with Le Mans pedigrees, including Lotus, Porsche and Morgan.<\/p>\n
Classic, Historic and Vintage cars, both road and competition, will also be on display, and a number of competition cars will be shown in the \u201cCompetition Concours\u201d category. A trophy will be awarded to the winning car at the end of the day during a special presentation ceremony.<\/p>\n
Rally cars will also feature, with a number of Group B and Group A examples promised, plus WRC machines driven previously by both Colin McRae and Richard Burns.<\/p>\n

Along with Nicholas and Alexandra Verney, work has already commenced on the second running of Cars in the Claydons where we will look to further expand and enhance our offering to visitors and those displaying cars and motorcycles.”<\/p>\n
