The 34th Annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix enjoyed nearly perfect weather for all of its 10 days last month, allowing for maximum\u00a0attendance throughout\u00a0the double weekend event. A record field of more than 300 vintage racecars turned out to take part in the racing at the new Pittsburgh International Race Complex and through Schenley Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe racing action at Pitt Race was exceptional this year,\u201d enthused PVGP Competition Director John Bechtol, \u201cwith good fields taking full advantage of the completed track.\u00a0The huge\u00a0crowds at Schenley Park enjoyed good racing as well, and the Formula Ford exhibition race, sponsored by Village Green, was particularly exciting as we witnessed a new track record.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beyond the on-track competitions, participants were also able to enjoy the event\u2019s annual Black Tie Gala, the Countryside Tour and a number of car shows. A group of 1,200 volunteers helped with all aspects of what is truly a community event. The race winners for 2016 are listed below.<\/p>\n
