The showcase event will take place October 1-2 at California\u2019s Sonoma Raceway.<\/p>\n<p>Many are the \u201chousehold names\u201d who took their early steps toward glory behind the wheel of an MG, men like Phil Hill, Carroll Shelby, Ronnie Bucknum and Joe Huffaker (who also built them), with even Tazio Nuvolari taking a K3 to a record-setting victory in the 1933 Ulster Tourist Trophy.<\/p>\n<p>CSRG\u2019s Charity Challenge will host more than 250 cars of all different types, from F1, Can-Am, Trans-Am, Endurance and Formula cars to the Production Sports Cars that have long been the backbone of sports car racing in the USA. Always among the Charity Challenge weekend\u2019s highlights are the spectator ride-alongs that pair competitors with fans who can enjoy a three-lap ride in a racing car in exchange for a tax-deductible donation to the Sonoma chapter of The Speedway Children\u2019s Charities.
