The Laguna Seca Invitational 2016 was staged May 31 to June 1 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The two-day Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) event saw a selection of historic racing cars challenge the 11-turn, 2.238-mile road course in Salinas, California.<\/p>\n

HMSA’s June LSR Invitational once again attracted some amazing cars, such as Steven Read’s 1972 Ferrari 312PB; Erickson Shirley’s 1959 Lister Costin; Ned Spieker’s 1957 Maserati 200SI; Beau DeBard’s 1971 McLaren M8E; Chris Farrell’s 1982 March 821; Tom Byrnes’ 1964 Brabham BT8; Ranson Webster’s 1976 Porsche 935 K3 and 1961 Porsche Abarth Carrera GTL and the trio of Shelby 289 Cobras from the Park family.<\/p>\n

\nSimilar to 2010<\/a>, 2011<\/a>, 2012<\/a>, 2013<\/a>, 2014<\/a> and 2015<\/a>, Sports Car Digest also documented the 2016 running of the HMSA LSR Invitational, with Senior Photographer Dennis Gray offering the following images highlighting the quality participants at this year’s June event. We split up Dennis’ pictures into two galleries. The first gallery starting below features our favorite images, all displayed in the full-width view, while the second gallery begins on the last page of the gallery<\/a> and gives a comprehensive view of all the photographs.<\/p>\n
