Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions have announced the final sales results from their Fisherman\u2019s Wharf Monterey Auction where a 51 percent sell-through rate yielded nearly $11 million in total sales, a figure exceeding 2015\u2019s numbers.<\/p>\n

Leading the way was a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe that gaveled for $1,050,105, with the second-highest price being the $836,000 paid for a 2004 Ford GT Prototype. Third-best seller was a 1993 Jaguar XJ220 (above) with an odometer reading of just 871 kilometers that sold for $435,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really have to point to the support of our wonderful bidders, consignors and attendees,\u201d said Russo and Steele CEO Drew Alcazar, \u201cand say thanks for what was Russo and Steele\u2019s most successful auction season to date. We can\u2019t wait to do it again in 2017!\u201d<\/p>\n

Russo and Steele will open its 2017 auction season with its flagship event next January 18-22 in Scottsdale, Arizona.<\/p>\n
