{"id":495951,"date":"2016-10-12T10:30:07","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T17:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=37207"},"modified":"2023-12-14T16:10:16","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T16:10:16","slug":"vrs-wall-heroes-nec-classic-motor-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/vrs-wall-heroes-nec-classic-motor-show\/","title":{"rendered":"NEC Classic Motor Show (2016) &#8211; VR\u2019s \u201cWall of Heroes\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><\/i>The work of the internationally renowned Swiss automotive artist Fabrice Lachavanne will complete <em>Vintage Racecar<\/em>&#8216;s NEC Classic Motor Show homage to some of the men and marques that have excelled on the various circuits of world motor racing.<\/p>\n<p>A dedicated \u201cWall of Heroes\u201d\u00a0will show an amazing array of the Geneva-based Lachavanne\u2019s work, including: the battle between Ferrari and Cobra at the famous 12 Hours of Sebring on March 21, 1964; Stirling Moss in Rob Walker\u2019s Ferrari 250GTO and Jimmy Clark in the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato at the 1961 Goodwood Tourist Trophy (above); the \u201cDavid and Goliath\u201d epic 1938 Pau Grand Prix when Ren\u00e9 Dreyfus in the Delahaye 145 V12 beat the mighty Rudolf Caracciola in his Mercedes W154; and the master Tazio Nuvolari in the winning Auto Union Type D at the 1939 Yugoslav Grand Prix \u2014 the last Mercedes and Auto Union confrontation before the beginning of World War II.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the final pieces in the puzzle completing the <em>VR<\/em> display, stand number 1-40, in the Premier Hall at this year\u2019s NEC Classic Motor Show, November 11\u201313.
