The 1953 Ferrari 375 MM Pinin Farina Spider of Andreas Mohringer won the Rolex Circle of Champions Best of Show Award on Friday,<\/p>\n

August 19, at the 14th annual The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The car is the only unrestored racing Ferrari 375 MM PF Spider existing out of the nine cars built, and enjoys an extensive racing history in the United States.<\/p>\n

The Quail, a Peninsula Hotels Signature Event, drew more than 250 cars from around the world to compete in 11 classes at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, California. The exclusive event showcased a collection of legendary automobiles from around the world and offered model unveilings from several of the world\u2019s premier luxury automakers. Among the cars on display was the 1937 Talbot-Lago T150C SS Figoni et Falaschi \u201dGoutte d\u2019Eau\u201d that just days before had been honored with the inaugural The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award at a private gala.<\/p>\n

Featured classes at this year\u2019s Quail event included Rivalries of the Ages, the 100th anniversary of BMW, A Retrospective of Laguna Seca Raceway and the 50th Anniversary of the Lamborghini Miura. Traditional classes of cars on display included Pre-War Sports and Racing Cars, Post-War Racing Cars, Post-War Sports Cars 1945-1960, Post-War Sports Cars 1961-1975, Sports and Racing Motorcycles, The Great Ferraris and Supercars.<\/p>\n
