Following feedback from spectators and competitors, the festival will now run from Friday April 28 to Sunday April 30. This means qualifying rounds will take place on the Friday, with racing set for Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The new format will allow the 2017 festival to be even bigger and better than before. The theme of this seventh Donington Historic Festival will be \u201cget involved,\u201d with the organizers investing in a diverse range of entertainment, both on and off the track, in which families and fans can become involved.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Grafton, commercial director of Historic Promotions \u2014 organizers of the festival \u2014 commented: \u201cThere is nothing like getting close to the action and experiencing historic racing cars in all their glory. Donington is a great venue for allowing visitors to become part of the story and, now that the site has even more space available, we have an exciting opportunity to expand what we can offer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we wanted to create an immersive experience,\u201d he continued, \u201cso we\u2019ve secured more content in which people can participate.
