1965 Ford Cortina GT500<\/h1>\n

First used as a motor racing circuit back in 1938, for the Australian Grand Prix of that year, the Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst, some 125 miles west of Sydney, has changed somewhat over the years from a dusty unpaved road into what is now an internationally renowned circuit with all the facilities. However, if there is one facet that has not changed, it is that a win at Bathurst is the pinnacle of motor racing in Australia.<\/p>\n

With its uphill turns and downhill twists it is without doubt an exciting circuit for both drivers and spectators, but there is one aspect about the Mount Panorama circuit that is often forgotten, especially by those outside the country. When there is no racing, the circuit is a public road that is open to everybody. It\u2019s designated as a tourist road and you can run around the circuit all day and in either direction, providing you don\u2019t exceed the speed limit!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
