The cars, destined for lives as track cars only, will be built in the same Newport Pagnell factory as the originals, using the same lightweight specifications.<\/p>\n<p>The DB4 GT, celebrated as one of the rarest and most revered of all Aston Martins, was introduced the same year that AM posted its historic overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and was a true supercar of its day. Shorter, lighter, sleeker and with a more powerful version of the legendary 3.7-liter straight-six, not only was the DB4 GT Britain\u2019s fastest passenger sports car, it was a born winner, scoring a debut race victory at Silverstone in the hands of Sir Stirling Moss. A total of 75 DB4 GTs were ever built, with only eight being lightweight models. Most of them survive today.<\/p>\n<p>The new cars\u2019 authenticity will be reinforced with continuation car VIN numbers that will carry on from the last original DB4 GT ordered (Chassis 0202R) for an unbroken bloodline and impeccable Newport Pagnell-built pedigree spanning more than half a century.
