It will join the fabled Beast of Turin and the legendary \u201cBabs\u201d in the event\u2019s lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Powered by a 700-bhp W12 Napier Lion engine, the Napier Bluebird topped 195 mph that day 90 years ago at Pendine Sands to give Campbell the record. The car\u2019s appearance at Bromyard follows Campbell\u2019s previous car, a Sunbeam, which highlighted at last year\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving three of the world\u2019s most famous Land Speed Record cars together in Bromyard is a milestone for the Festival,\u201d said Festival Chairman Graham Hodgson-Jones. \u201cThe spectacle of having the Beast, Babs and the Napier Bluebird on the streets of the town will surely be something no one will want to miss, and probably a first anywhere. They are the headline for the event that will feature a further 150-plus car and bike entries and an anticipated 10,000 visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>articipants demonstrating their cars on the Bromyard Street circuit will embrace an eclectic variety of vehicles ranging from pure racing and rally cars to iconic classic and vintage cars and motorcycles. The Festival will start around 10 a.m. on Sunday April 2, and finish about 4:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Admission is FREE to the general public.
