The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America<\/a> (MSHFA) announced its 2017 class of inductees last week at Daytona International Speedway, prior to qualifying for the 55th<\/sup> running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Five-time Rolex 24 winner Scott Pruett (above, at Le Mans in 2001) heads the list, joined by: dominant Outlaw Sprint Car legend Steve Kinser; three-time Daytona 200 motorcycle king Dick Klamfoth; two-time NASCAR Cup titlist Terry Labonte; drag racing and land speed record pioneer Paula Murphy; double NASCAR champion Herb Thomas; and automotive journalist extraordinaire Brock Yates. The 2017 class will be inducted on June 28 in Daytona Beach during the Hall\u2019s 29th<\/sup> Annual Induction Ceremony.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the King of the Outlaws to the creator of the Cannonball Run, we\u2019ve got an outstanding class of pioneers, champions, record-breakers and innovators,\u201d noted MSHFA President Ron Watson. \u201cThis group, like so many of our inductee classes, represents the entire spectrum of motorsports that forms the foundation of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.\u201d<\/p>\n
