{"id":496406,"date":"2017-03-22T12:10:21","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T19:10:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=43833"},"modified":"2023-12-12T00:03:22","modified_gmt":"2023-12-12T00:03:22","slug":"goodwood-members-meeting-opens-vintage-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/goodwood-members-meeting-opens-vintage-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodwood Members\u2019 Meeting (2017) &#8211; Opens UK Vintage Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 75<sup>th<\/sup> renewal of Goodwood\u2019s annual Members\u2019 Meeting took place last weekend at the historic Chichester circuit, awarding classic cups and trophies in a dozen classes, the winners of which are listed below.<\/p>\n<p>The event also marked the recent passing of the legendary British double World Champion John Surtees with a single demonstration lap by Richard Attwood in Big John\u2019s very first racecar, the 1960 Cooper Junior Mk1 Type 52, with which he made his four-wheel debut at the 1960 edition of the Members\u2019 Meeting \u2014 finishing 2<sup>nd<\/sup> to Jim Clark\u2019s Lotus 18.<\/p>\n<p>Among the weekend\u2019s other highlights were high-speed demonstration runs by 3-Liter Sports Prototypes including Ferrari\u2019s legendary 312PB, Matra\u2019s MS670, Alfa Romeo\u2019s T33 and the Ford Cosworth DFV-powered Gulf Mirages.
