{"id":496474,"date":"2017-04-05T11:40:34","date_gmt":"2017-04-05T18:40:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=44155"},"modified":"2024-12-02T20:47:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T20:47:59","slug":"petersen-museum-will-seeing-red","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/petersen-museum-will-seeing-red\/","title":{"rendered":"Petersen Museum Will Be Seeing Red"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A special display of more than a dozen famously red Ferraris will open at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on April 29 as the museum presents \u201cSeeing Red: 70 Years of Ferrari.\u201d The Prancing Horse exhibit will run through April of 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Included among the fabled Italian cars to be showcased in the Bruce Meyer Family Gallery will be the legendary 250 GTO (above), the 166MM, the 250 TR, the 250LM and the 2001 Ferrari F2001 driven by seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher in one of his most dominating years in the series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so thrilled to bring some of the world\u2019s most beautiful Ferraris to the Petersen,\u201d said Meyer, founding chairman of the Petersen\u2019s Board of Directors. \u201cSeeing that Rosso Corsa paint and the beautiful curves of the bodywork is always enough to make your heart skip a beat. \u2018Seeing Red\u2019 will be one of the most significant gatherings of Ferraris in the world and I\u2019m so pleased to be able to share it with the public in our gallery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will open with a grand reception on Thursday, April 27, at the museum. The exclusive event will include cocktails, appetizers, live music and presentation, with a special tribute to America\u2019s first World Champion, Phil Hill, hosted by Hill\u2019s son, Derek. This opening reception is open to the public and tickets are available for $100 with a special VIP vault tour and Ferrari book package available for $175.\u2028.
