Auctions America enjoyed one of its best Auburn Spring sale results yet last weekend, generating nearly $10.2 million in total sales at Indiana\u2019s historic Auburn Auction Park. During the three-day sale nearly 350 vehicles and 450 lots of automobilia crossed the auction block, with 83 percent finding new homes. Bidders hailed from 38 states and 11 countries, with more than one-third being first-time Auctions America clientele.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith strong attendance from start to finish and exceptionally great weather, this was without a doubt one of our best Auburn Spring events to date,\u201d said Gord Duff, global head of auctions for Auctions America.<\/p>\n

A featured attraction of this year\u2019s Auburn Spring weekend was the presentation of a series of modern racecars and assorted equipment from the former Level 5 Motorsports Collection during a dedicated sale session on Thursday, May 11. The group, comprising 350 total lots, drew tremendous interest from the racing community, with a 2012 Ferrari 458 GTD Race Car, class winner at the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, taking top honors at $462,000. Second-highest billing went to the $360,000 paid for an AACA and CCCA National Prize-winning 1941 Packard One-Eighty Darrin Convertible Victoria.<\/p>\n

The sale was also marked by strong interest for vehicles formerly displayed at the National Military History Center in Auburn. Leading the group was a 1944 Buick M18 “Hellcat” Tank Destroyer that sold for $247,500. The top 10 sales prices are listed below.<\/p>\n
